Workshop: Complete Beginners to Acrylic Painting
This complete beginners workshop is for anyone wishing to explore painting with acrylics. You may be a complete novice or just starting out. You will be working with a professional tutor and will learn the following during this intensive two day workshop:
- What is acrylic paint and how to get the best from them
- Setting you your palette
- Using different brushes and brush control
- Cleaning acrylic brushes
- Colour theory and colour mixing
- Different painting techniques
- How to get started when painting with acrylics – including priming a canvas
Students will be able to explore a number of different techniques and learn how to get the best from them. We will be completing different exercises throughout the days as well as completing a finished piece.
By the end of the two days students will have a good understanding of how to get started using acrylic as well as completing a finished piece.

‘Often those new to painting with acrylics are unsure of where to start or even how the process works, I enjoy introducing them to the processes and watching the progress throughout the two days. Don’t be worried about giving it a try or even thinking you’re not artistic, if you have the slightest interest in learning to paint this is the workshop for you’

- Location: Artists studio cabin in Horndean
- All materials are included in the price including paint, brushes, paper and 2x small canvases
- Teas and coffees are provided
- Please bring your own lunch
- Please wear old clothes (acrylic does not come out of clothes)
- Maximum of 6 people on the workshop

We break the payment in two. 50% (non refundable) deposit and the balance due by 15th August
